Chlorophilia is a new project that emphasizes the skills in lighting engine design through an iconic approach to organic and fluid forms. This aesthetically pleasing yet lightweight pendant device presents a delicate contrast of tones that interact with the space when turned on, enhancing its completeness. The body contains an LED COB used as a heat sink, along with lightweight plant-like elements made from molded PMMA, which combine soft wave textures with uneven stepped sections that serve as optical lenses. The suspended central body emits indirect light, filtered and refracted by three transparent surfaces, with natural shapes reminiscent of elements found in nature, such as leaves. These three elements are arranged in a sunburst pattern, partially overlapping to increase shadow contrast, creating a scenic effect on the ceiling while complementing ambient lighting. Chlorophilia defines an optical and architectural principle that can be recreated by multiplying its elements to create combinations that develop or expand its width across multiple levels in the space.
